6-Voice a capella Arrangement: How Little and Dobbin's Flowery Vale
This is what happens when I'm bored. I upload my old works. XD These actually aren't that old, since I really got into arranging/transcribing this year. Let's just say they're my first two, and since I've uploaded everything I've done since then onto LJ, I figured I should do these as well. For completion's sake.

These are really for any singers out there, if they can round up a group of people to sing. They're based off of songs by the Finnish group Rajaton, six people I can only continue to admire. I was so lucky to be able to see them live last April, I was so amazed. But that's enough fangirling from me not about a boy group, GASP so your best bet is to find out about them on your own if you don't know them already.

Anyways, the six voices: soprano 1, soprano 2/mezzo-soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass.

As usual, the files contain an MP3 of the Finale playback and a PDF file. The Finale playbacks with vocal are even worse than piano ones, so please bear with the lifeless sounds for now.

How Little: 6-voice a capella

Download Link (MU)

This one was my very first arrangement, I felt so accomplished after doing it. XD

Dobbin's Flowery Vale: 6-voice a capella

Download Link (MU) *origin: traditional Irish melody.

The first half of the song actually doesn't really seem to have a metre, but I couldn't be bothered to note that on Finale and make a mess out of it, so it's (poorly) stuck into 4/4. Just use the sheet music for notes and when to change chords together for that part, trying to count it is useless.

If you've downloaded these, DO tell me, because then we should talk and become good friends. :D I love Rajaton's work. I hope our little group at school can actually sing these, because it will make me insanely happy (one reason I'm looking forward to this school year!).

Solo Piano Arrangement: Voyager - V6
[livejournal.com profile] kaychung I DID IT I FINALLY DID IT I FINISHED IT. :D (Tell me if you want another arrangement for guitar.)

I started this roughly two weeks ago because I got completely and utterly obsessed with Voyager. And then I went and listened to other V6 songs and watched some of their shows and got the Voyager album and whatnot and it took a while for me to sit down and finally finish it instead of all the stuff I promised my friends I'd do. And here are the fruits of my labour!

That sounded much more impressive than it really is...

It might sound awkward since there are a lot of synthesized sounds and more extra parts in Voyager than I could replicate in a somewhat easy-to-play manner (since I did most of it actually at the piano rather than my usual mess-around-on-Finale method), but it's not too bad. ^^"

Download Link (MU)

The sustain pedal is your friend. :D

The .rar file contains a PDF of the sheet music and an MP3 of Finale playing the music back to me. I'm lazy so I don't have any dynamics marked in, but I trust you all know how the song goes. :D There might also be discrepancies between the recording and the PDF because I made changes after recording it and got too lazy to do it again, so sorry for that.

Comments are nice but not necessary, though I would appreciate any feedback people have after playing the piece to sort out kinks and stuff. Other than that, I'm just looking to jump into this fandom a little more (though with school approaching it's probably not the best idea). So yeah. Maybe I'll do another song soon, though I don't think I'll be able to get another one out...

Solo Piano Arrangement: Kumori Nochi, Kaisei - Yano Kenta starring Satoshi Ohno
I wish I was able to order a copy of All The Best! LE. But... yeah, life happens. (Maybe I can get my relatives to get me the HK version or something...) But congrats to our sparkle boys for their first day sales. :D

I had this done a few days ago, but... it's pretty messy. XD I think I now understand why sheet music for this doesn't seem to be easily found/actually exist. I wanted it to be as accurate as possible, so I think I took that over making it simple to sight-read. My advice, though, is that you just listen to the MP3 and the original to get the rhythms while you use the sheet music to get the notes. It will make more sense after. ^^"

Thank goodness that one little clip at the end of episode 6 of Uta no Onii-san exists...

Personally, I think my arrangement is a little difficult, so feedback on this one would be much appreciated.

Download Link (MU)

As usual, the compressed file contains a PDF and an MP3. Sorry that the last two bars of the MP3 don't actually slow down like it says on the PDF, Finale was being stupid. Just... imagine it. :D

in case you don't want to read about all the stuff i whined about while doing this )

After this, unless something really strikes me, I'll be doing some songs my friends have requested and tossing Voyager from V6 somewhere in there (just because I'm still listening to it on repeat). I don't know if I'll put them up, I probably will just for the heck of it - does the song from Kami-sama mou sukoshi dake (never seen it, just hoping that's the name...) or an a capella version of 'Danny Boy' interest anyone? XD

On a completely random RL note: I finally got notification that I'm on my school's music council. XD

Piano/Vocal Arrangement: Kako (Konseki) - Ninomiya Kazunari
I'm back! And putting more music up...

This was actually done a little while ago except I couldn't get a hold of any lyrics and I was too lazy to turn the file into a PDF and make the MP3 and compress the file and upload it... but now it's all there! Lyrics are courtesy of the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] taijiproject , and while you're at it, take the time to read her beautiful translation (I would have tried to put it in the music too, but I had no room...)

So instead of practising for my piano exam (which is... in a few hours), here you go!

Download Link (MU)

Same as last time, inside the compressed file is a PDF file and an MP3. This time the MP3 is of the piano accompaniment only. It's not really an arrangement where you can play and sing at the same time (though I suppose if you're really good you could) - it was made with a two-person performance in mind. So if you can play but don't feel like singing, grab a friend! And if you can sing but can't do that and play at once, you can use the MP3... or grab a friend! :D

Spread the love, right? Because everyone needs a little bit of Nino music in their life.

Comments would be nice but not necessary, and recordings are welcome to be heard! Requests are also welcome for a song so long as you tell me what it should be arranged for and offer me some way of listening to it.

My next work is... about two-thirds done, so hopefully I can churn that out in a bit :D

I played Time Hollow for DS a few days ago and when I came back and looked at 'Kako', I immediately thought of the high school in the game XD

Solo Piano Arrangement: Kako (Konseki) - Ninomiya Kazunari
... this must be the first time I've ever put anything like this up online.

That aside! With the lull of summer and some time to spare, I went surfing around as usual and wound up listening to Nino's Iza, Now! concert solo. And fell in love with it. Then I tried looking for some sheet music for it (because I'm not very good playing by ear) and couldn't find any to the extent of my limited ability to search.

So I made some. :D Highly recommend using pedal, so the left hand carries a little more.

PDF + MP3 (MU) | JPEG (MU)

If you take the file, comments would be nice but not necessary (just because I don't always comment, and being hypocritical is counterproductive).

In the first compressed file is a PDF version of the transcription and an MP3 of how it sounded on Finale Playback. The second one is four JPEG images of the PDF, for anyone who's in a sticky situation and can't open a PDF, but right now the MP3 is NOT included in the second file.

I probably will not put up my own playing  - I'm honestly not very good - but if you would like to upload your playing of this arrangement, by all means, just please credit the transcription and send me a link because I'd like to hear someone else play it.

It's my first time arranging anything for solo piano (the only prior experience I have with transcription is a capella vocal work) so if anything sounds off, please feel free to leave any feedback for improvement. I'm also open for some requests at the moment, if anyone wants any.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy! I may do a piano/vocal arrangement, if inspiration comes.

Har har har.

EDIT: So, I don't feel like making a new entry to spaz about life, so I'll put it here.

I did not enjoy writing my French essay today. Not only did I have to stay after school to finish copying my good copy out because I underestimated the time I'd take to edit three more essays, but it drove me mad. Honestly, I felt like I was terribly limited because my vocabulary was stunted. I also had a dilemma about whether 'un manque' was considered an expression of quantity. Help me, [livejournal.com profile] sidevocalist D:

Though I did manage to stay awake in Physics class today, which seems to be (sadly) a rarity these days. I think it was because [livejournal.com profile] kaychung and I were talking about JE stuff in between presentations. Hence the several requests. (I swear I'll get to them.)

So I'm leaving in two days and I'm packing my bags. It doesn't take that long... though my father has been spazzing at me. I know he has good reason, I don't want to leave anything behind either. XD

I also didn't think I'd be back. I don't really know what I'll use this for? I'll lurk.

Or maybe I'll go back to my goal of tag-spamming. I'm honestly too busy to come up with my awesomely random stories any more... it makes me sad.

Oh well. =)

I also need to write a post about how awesome my friend is. I'll get to that.
